The film captures the flavor of this area, made up of a white population from the very rich on 5th Avenue to the ordinary citizens as you move east. In 1970 this was a neighborhood in transition, as developers were moving in and changing the landscape. A bicycle shop owner, a rabbi, a butcher, an astrologist, a banker and his family are among the people we meet. |
